The team at ArtCEE is passionate about being advocates for the creativity of children and use art as a way to support social and emotional wellbeing. With a diverse range of experience and expertise, ArtCEE is ready to bring art and craft into schools to appeal to students that are artistically inclined OR those who just want to try something a little bit different! Launched in 2022, ArtCEE is running classes in five Brisbane schools in Term 1, 2023, and will be ready to expand into more schools throughout the year!

We are currently recruiting facilitators to work in an assistant role under our founder for 9 weeks in Term 1, 2023. Successful applicants must be available to work from 3-5pm weekdays with occasional weekend work available. We are looking to build a strong and reliable team that will grow with us as we expand into new schools in 2023.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Teaching students from prep-year 6 in a multitude of art processes

  • set up/pack down of workshops

  • cleaning any materials

  • Communicating with parents

  • Preparing materials before workshops as required

  • Keeping stock of inventory

  • Drop-off/Pick-up for materials from head office

  • Being responsible for students from 3pm until they leave our care at 4.15pm. This includes following up immediately with parents if child is absent from class.

  • Being a friendly and approachable representative of the ArtCEE brand

Required:

  • Valid BlueCard/ PoliceCheck

  • Own transport (to carry equipment)

  • Artistic ability

  • Friendly disposition with children and parents

  • Clear communication

  • Ability to work independently

  • Positive behaviour management skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Basic admin skills.

Desirable:

  • Social Media/ Marketing Experience

  • Experience writing curriculum/ lesson outlines

  • Experience working with children (prep-Year 6)

  • First Aid

  • Interest in up-skilling and ongoing training in the space

  • Education/ Creative Industries students are strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary:

$25-$30 per hour dependent on duties and experience. To be discussed during the hiring process.
