Role Vacancy: Visual Art Facilitator

The team at ArtCEE is passionate about being advocates for the creativity of children and use art as a way to support social and emotional wellbeing. With a diverse range of experience and expertise, ArtCEE runs after-school visual art classes in primary schools across Brisbane. A new and exciting curriculum is delivered each term to build skills and foster a love of art.  Launched in 2022, ArtCEE is running classes in seven Brisbane schools, onboarding 3 more in term 3 2024.

We are currently recruiting facilitators to join our awesome team for our after school and holiday program.  


Successful applicants must be available to work:

  • Wednesday and Thursday afternoons (2.30-4.30pm) during Term 2 for training, and

  • Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons during Term 3 (8 weeks)  to lead/assist classes each week.


This role would be suitable for university students and mature age people looking for a creative outlet to connect with young people.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Teaching students from prep-year 6 in a multitude of art processes

  • Set up/pack down of workshops

  • Cleaning any materials

  • Communicating with parents

  • Preparing materials before workshops as required

  • Keeping stock of inventory

  • Drop-off/Pick-up for materials from head office (once or twice per term)

  • Being responsible for students from 3pm until they leave our care at 4.15pm. This includes following up immediately with parents if the child is absent from class.

  • Being a friendly and approachable representative of the ArtCEE brand


​Applicants must have:

  • Valid Blue Card

  • Great communication skills (with children, head office, school staff, and parents)

  • Experience working independently

  • Experience with primary-school aged children, 

  • Confidence to manage class behaviour

  • Own vehicle

  • Be well organised and with great time management skills

  • Ability to lift boxes of materials (trolley provided)

  • Availability for the whole school term

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Administration skills (use of google docs and drive)


  • First Aid

  • Interest in up-skilling and ongoing training in the space

  • Education students are strongly encouraged to apply



  • Assistant rate: $30.10 per hour. Lead facilitator rate: $35.10 per hour. Each shift is 2 hours and all new staff will commence training at the assistant rate.
